Arts and Culture Sector Applications Open February 1
Applications will open for BC Community Gaming Grants for the arts and culture sector on February 1, 2026.
Applications for the arts and culture sector will close on April 30.
Which organizations are included in the arts and culture sector?
Any non-profit, charity or not-for-profit that provides public access to the arts, or that preserves the arts, heritage or culture, is included in this sector.
Examples of eligible programs
Programs eligible for Community Gaming Grants in the arts and culture sector include:
- performing arts like theatre, music and dance
- media arts like film, video, sound, community radio and photography
- visual arts like painting, drawing, sculpture and ceramics
- literature
- art councils
- children and youth art programming.
- community and agricultural fairs and festivals (see section 4.1)
- heritage preservation like community museums, archives or historical displays
- Indigenous and other cultural activities or events, like those sharing culture with the broader community
