Symposium | 2018 Highlights

Volunteer Futures Symposium – World of Opportunity was a huge success. For the 2nd year, BCACG and Volunteer BC combined their event to offer a cost-effective conference for individuals around BC interested in learning more about non-profits and charities.
Highlights included Keynote Bill Walters, Diversity onBoard – presented by Vancity set the tone for the event and discussed the importance of diversity in leadership. Second keynote, David Battey, President and Founder of Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC), a nonprofit organization operating in the U.S. and Canada spoke about the importance of increasing service opportunities for youth and helping them develop a lifetime ethic of service.

Other topics were: Updates from the Community Gaming Branch, Project Management for Non-Profits, The Mobile Office and Understanding the Gaming Audit.

Over 175 delegates from all over BC attended and we look forward to planning the 2018 event.
